学术论文中词性选择和介词误用的错误翻译方式

　　一、词性选择不合原意
　　词性选择不当主要表现为基于同一词根可以派生出动词、名词、形容词或 其他词类，词性的选择不当导致词句文理不通，这类问题约占11.3%。

　　例1《复旦学报》
　　原文：但由于种种因素的制约，企业商号吸收社会储蓄的现象仍然得以存 在，并在近代中国经济发展进程中发挥着重要的作用。
　　原译：Owning to variant factors, this phenomenon continued to exist and exerted great influence on the proceeding of economy in modem China.
　　评析：原文“由于种种因素”中的“由于”应该为Owing to,即owe而非 own的-ing形式，产生变形错误的原因是对形似词未能区分清楚。如果进一步推 敲，可知原意是“由于多种原因”，因而可以译成For various reasons; “企业商 号吸收社会储蓄的”属于漏译；“经济发展”译成proceeding of economy可谓舍 近求远，改成 development of economy 或 economic development 显然一步至【J位。翻译公司译者译文：
　　For various reasons, the phenomenon that enterprises and firms took in social deposits remained and exerted great influence on economic development in modem China.

　　二、介词误用破坏词组
　　介词误用往往破坏了固定的表达方式，尤其是词组的结构，进而影响整个 句子的通顺，这类问题约占10.7%。
　　例2《重庆三峡学院学报》
　　原文：本文在对高校新生中弱势群体的特征、表现及成因进行分析的基础 上，提出了要强化高校新生中弱势群体教育的观点。
　　原译：Analyzed on characteristics, performances and causes of disadvantaged group in college freshmen, the paper suggests that the education for the disadvantaged students should be strengthen.
　　评析：如果原文“进行分析”中的“分析”理解为名词，就可以译成make an analysis of;原译Analyzed on中的介词显然不合要求，要么干脆将on去掉，直接采用analyze的分词短语；因“教育”是针对“弱势群体”的，应将介词for 改为of,使两者关系更为紧密；原译对“强化”按被动语态译成be strengthen 是误以为-en结尾的就是过去分词，实际上strengthen本身就是动词原形，加-ed- 后才成为过去分词。译文：
　　Based on an analysis of characteristics, performances and formations of disadvantaged groups among college freshmen, we conclude that education of disadvantaged students in colleges and universities should be strengthened.
